The Southwest Rural Electric Association Inc. (SWRE) board of directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Dan Lambert as chief executive officer effective January 13, 2025.
Lambert brings 27 years of experience as the manager of network services for AT&T and 11 years of experience as a co-op board member. He has earned the highest level of credentials and leadership training that co-op directors can receive from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. Additionally, he holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial electronics from Cameron University.
“Through my leadership, SWRE members can expect a steady commitment to progress, open communication, and a focus on building a stronger, more reliable future together,” said Lambert. “I’ll work hard to keep our cooperative moving forward, always with the members’ best interest at heart.”
As a long-time resident of southwest Oklahoma, Lambert has lived on SWRE lines most of his life. He and his wife, Shannon, reside in the Navajo community in the Altus area. The couple has five adult children and four grandchildren.
