This summer Southwest Rural Electric (SWRE) is inviting members to connect and cool down with the cooperative at two member appreciation events. At these free events in Oklahoma and Texas, members can learn about the co-op, enjoy a sweet treat, and claim a free SWRE-branded ice cream scoop.
The first event will take place on July 21 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Joey Ice Cream, 503 North Hudson Street in Altus, Oklahoma. Members and up to one guest will receive a ticket for a single complimentary cup of premium homemade ice cream.
The second event will be held on August 6 during the Summer’s Last Blast Car Show in Vernon, Texas. SWRE will be set up from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Vernon Chamber of Commerce Kidz Zone in the north parking lot of Waggoner Bank, 1818 Texas Street. The Kidz Zone will have bounce houses, video games, and other carnival activities. SWRE will be sponsoring Kona Ice for all kids, so stop by the SWRE booth to sign them up for a ticket to receive a free snow cone.
The first 100 memberships to stop by either location will receive a free SWRE-branded ice cream scoop. Members will receive a voucher in the mail. Simply bring the voucher to either location to claim the free swag (limit one per membership).
At the events SWRE will have educational stations set up to share information and answer questions about the cooperative. SWRE welcomes members and their families to join them this summer to beat the heat, connect, and cool down with the co-op. For updated information check out the SWRE Facebook or Instagram pages.
