Southwest Rural Electric Association, Inc. (SWRE) members are invited to attend the cooperative’s 85th Annual Meeting on Thursday, August 18, 2022. Drive-thru registration will take place from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at two locations: Western Oklahoma State College in Altus, Oklahoma and Wilbarger County Events Center in Vernon, Texas.

Members will receive the Annual Meeting Notice / Registration Card attached to their electric bill postmarked on August 8. This document will also be mailed to members who are enrolled in electronic statements and the prepaid billing program. The co-op asks that members bring the Registration Card with them to the meeting to expedite registration.

SWRE members will be able to participate without leaving their vehicles. Co-op employees will be stationed at each drive-thru location to direct traffic and answer questions. Members will receive a door prize and $25 Energy Credit at registration (limit one door prize and credit per membership). Registered memberships will also be entered into a drawing to win 21 additional Energy Credits, three grand prizes, and more! Grand prizes include an iPad Air, a 65-inch smart TV and a Traeger Pellet Grill. An exclusive prize drawing will take place for members who increase their monthly donations to Operation Round Up, SWRE’s charitable foundation, through ORU Plus.

The prize drawing will be held live on Southwest Rural Electric’s Facebook page on Tuesday, August 23 at 9 a.m. Members do not have to be logged into Facebook at the time of the drawing to claim prizes. SWRE employees will contact winners by phone after the drawing.
