Service to Existing Meters

Need power turned on at a location served by Southwest Rural Electric Cooperative? If you are already an SWRE member, simply give us a call at 1-800-256-7973 and provide the following information:

  • Name and Membership Information
    (Social Security Number, Billing Address, etc.)
  • Physical Location of Service (Address or Description)
  • Type of Service needed
  • A refundable** deposit of $300.00 is required for service to be activated at the requested location. Fee may be waived for members with letters of good credit from previous utility companies.

**Your account will be reviewed after 12 months of continuous service. If the account has been kept current during the period of review, your deposit will be refunded to you at that time. If the account has been delinquent at any time during the 12 month period, your deposit will not be refunded until your account is closed.

 

If you are not currently a member of SWRE, call (1-800-256-7973) or stop by our office at 700 North Broadway, Tipton, Oklahoma, and one of our Member Service Representatives will assist you in applying for membership and establishing service.

  • A $5 Membership Fee will be required to join - this fee will be refunded or applied to your final bill should you have the location disconnected or move out of our service territory.
